The firm has been involved in a number of narcotics matters, including everything from large-scale importation cases to low level sales to informants. Narcotics prosecutions are difficult cases. They often involve the risk of severe prison sentences, even for insignificant quantities of drugs or for people who have played a minor role in the offense.

Large scale investigations often involve informants or undercover police, electronically recorded evidence, and surveillance testimony. The firm has been involved directly or on a consulting basis in criminal narcotics cases throughout Connecticut and the metropolitan area, as well as the southeastern region and Latin America.

For more than fifteen years Philip Russell has served on the National Lawyer’s Committee of NORML, the National Organization for the Legalization of Marijuana Laws, a Washington based lobbying and advocacy group.
